What is the biggest slash of prices by any motorcycle manufacturer? Well its almost 4 lacks by Harley on two of its ost stunning motorcycles the Street Bob and Super Glide Custom. Street Bob which was earlier priced at Rs. 13.5 lakh ex-showroom is now available at Rs. 9.95 lakh. Super Glide Custome which was available across the country at a ex-showroom price of Rs. 15.45 lakh is now made avilable at Rs. 11.50 lakh.

This is made possible because Harley Davidson has started to import CKD (Completely Knocked Down) and started assembling the motorcycle here which has helped them to save the import duty that us applicable on importing the CBU (Completely Built Unit). This difference they have passed on to the customers. I am sure in coming days Harley will do the same withtheir Fatboy and V-Rod bikes as well to make them more affordable to the india Harley lovers.

The localisation of the custumisation is also been done and all the motorcycles displayed at the Auto Expo 2012 were customised in India plant of Harley Davidson.
