Bajaj KTM 200 Duke Launched in India at the Ex Showroom price of Rs. 1.17 Lakhs
The battle for the top slot in the 200 – 250 cc motorcycle category just got intensified with the launch of Bajaj KTM 200 Duke at a killer price of Rs. 1.17 lakhs ex-showroom Delhi. This maybe an introductory price just to penetrate the market but I am sure this is going to give KTM a thundering start in the arena of Indian motorcycle market. Though the booking will start in the first week of February 2012 but the rage it has created amongst the youth is already giving sleepless nights to its competitors. Baja will market KTM 200 Duke at its pro-biking showrooms alongside Kawasaki Ninja.

KTM motorcycles are renowned in Europe for their off-roading abilities and KTM ranks amongst the top motorcycle manufacturers. Bajaj KTM 200 Duke is a very capable and powerful street motorcycle that will be available across India at 34 locations and riders will get the taste of its top of the line accessories and merchandise under the name of KTM Power Parts and KTM Power Wear. It houses a single cylinder, liquid cooled, DOHC (dual overhead camshaft), four valve 200cc mill which churns out 25 BHP (brake horse power) and a peak torque of 19NM. Its power to weight ratio is best in the class.
This engine is fitted with a bigger piston and values, an all new crank drive, exhaust, air-box and camshafts. It has a compact three-chamber silencer which assists in effortless handling and is extremely low on emission levels due to the synchronized catalytic converter. It has an 11 liters fuel tank and six-speed transmission for excellent fuel economy. KTM 200 comes with a 17 in cast light alloy wheels with a 110 mm tyre at the front and a large 150 mm tyre at the rear for greater grip in both wet and dry riding conditions.
Braking system is jointly developed by KTM in collaboration with Brembo. Duke 200 houses a four-piston brake caliper 280 mm disc brake at front. The 810 mm high seat is amazingly comfortable and you can ride long distances tirelessly.
